About
My works has been up to now focused on the relation between Spain and its overseas colonies during the 16th and the 17th centuries. I was particularly interested in the problems of representation or perception resulting from the distance between Spain and America and the disruption induced by the Conquest. My Phd dissertation led me to analyze colonial institutions, social networks and knowledge creation in an Imperial and worldwide context. In the historiographical fields, my work belongs to the Atlantic and World histories, Cultural and Postcolonial Studies.
